The X-Files is a popular television series created by Chris Carter. The show first aired on FOX in 1993, and ended after a nine-year run in 2002. In the series, Fox William Mulder and Dana Katherine Scully are two FBI agents tasked with investigating the "X-Files." Mulder is the believer, while Scully was the skeptic. The X-Files was declared by TV Guide to be the second greatest cult TV show of all time, behind Star Trek. The show stared David Duchovny as Special Agent Fox William Mulder, Gillian Anderson as Special Agent Dana Katherine Scully M.D., Mitch Pileggi as Assistant Director Walter S.
